[[OOC: Oh, look, they decided to talk to me again. Consider this them coming off hiatus.]]

"Are you sure you know where you're going? We've been past this street three times," Andrew said.

"I know this part of town. I grew up here. Just trust me. I know what I'm doing," Charles said, ignoring the possibility he was, in fact, lost.

"If you really know this area so well, we should've been there half an hour ago. It can't take that long to find your sister's place," Andrew countered.

"Yeah, well, just shut up and let me drive," Charles said.

"Alright, alright. But I'm blaming you for this. Besides, weren't we late last time we headed over to her place?" Andrew said.

"Look, she lives in one of those hard to get to streets. It's not my fault I can never remember how to get there," Charles said.

"That's because you are afraid of street directories," Andrew said, dragging out the old book from underneath his seat. "Where are we? Just pull over for a minute and I'll see if I can't work out how to get us back."

"Alright, alright, quit nagging," Charles said as he looked for a suitable spot to park. He pulled off the road and gave in, wondering if they would ever get there. "Here, give me that. I'll sort it out."

Andrew handed over the street directory and watched him flicking through the pages, looking for the right map. Flicking between the street index and the maps, Charles was the epitome of concentration as he tried to work out where they were and how to get back to where they were supposed to be.

"Oh. We turned left and missed that junction. No wonder we ended up out here," Charles said after a while.

"So, how late are we going to be then, considering it's already half past seven and we were supposed to be there nearly an hour ago," Andrew said.

"Shit. Um. I'll worry about that when we get there. It might take us another half hour with this traffic though. Reckon we should just bail? We've already missed dinner, I'd wager, so no point in going now," Charles said.

"You just don't want to see your sister. But if it's going to be that late anyway, we might as well skip. I do have work early tomorrow morning, and I don't need you keeping me up again," Andrew said.

"Well then, home it is. We'll pick up some dinner on the way and then I'll make my apologies to my sister and hope she doesn't bite my head off again," Charles said.

Andrew petted his knee affectionately. "Good luck with that. Now, try not to get the car smashed as you turn around, hey?"

Charles grumbled as he started the car and looked for an opening. Andrew was just pleased he was going to get an early night for once, regardless of how much Charles wanted to keep him awake.
